Also, every time a historical figure says something, whether it's smart, insightful, or just plain text book quotes, several characters will remark something along the lines 'how smart!', 'such a great man!' etc. just like how we are made to think Light and L are geniuses in Deadth Notes.
The only good things going for this manga are the fighting, as I'm a big of martial art, and beautiful drawing. But even such qualities are lost after +250 chapters, as the author attemps a reboot, called a sequel while it's still in mid story, and where such qualities decline as the fighting became ridiculous with magic-like-chi power, and the art style became simple, childish, and cartoonish.
Did the author lose it? Can't blame him, as this manga was started back in 1993, and after more than 20 years of drawing the same things, it's not surprising if he got sick of them, but is too attatched or scared or whatever to start a new manga series.
Now, just a quick look at the raw scan and i can pretty much guess what's going on, and i'm just doing that to see how he plans to end this series, at least, properly. Even a great manga can be ruined by a bad ending, though this one's been ruined mid way, as i've read +250 chapters, i'd still wanna see how it ends and see if it's as i expected or not. Though i doubt it's going to end any time soon ..
