Whatever you do, DO NOT abandon the quest after the fighting starts. I did this and now Morgraine is stuck in combat with Vyraz and I cannot pick the quest back up again to move forward. As some others, this quest got buggy for me; Inanis was dead, but still attackable, and I was stuck in combat with no action button to progress the quest. I just ran up the path toward Corlain a way to break combat, and the action button appeared, though I made sure to run back to the circle before using it, just in case.
